Level Field Facilities Fund Awarded $20M Credit Enhancement Grant from U.S. Department of Education
We are very excited to announce that Level Field Facilities Fund (LFFF) has been awarded a $20.0 million Credit Enhancement Grant from the U.S. Department of Education’s Charter School Program. This significant funding will substantially increase the capacity and offerings of Level Field’s loan funds, expanding access to affordable charter school facilities for high-quality schools across the country.
Level Field Facilities Fund was established to address a wide range of financing challenges in the charter school sector. Our mission focuses on meeting the pressing needs of both proven and early-stage school operators, with an emphasis on flexibility that traditional lenders often cannot provide.
The Credit Enhancement Grant will enable LFFF to:
- Magnify the nationwide impact of the innovative fund
- Increase availability of LFFF’s early, flexible project debt for which demand outpaces supply
- Attract new investors to LFFF and into the charter lending space
- Ensure ongoing involvement of existing and established lenders
- Meet the most pressing financing needs of scaling operators
As construction and real estate costs continue to rise, this $20M award arrives at a critical time for charter school operators who face increasing challenges in securing high-quality facilities that facilitate learning.
